The 110 Reuben is now Famous!

“In the battle of Man V Food, ___________won,” beams the Travel Channel's Adam Richman at the end of every episode. On October 12th Cincinnati found out whether man won or the 110 Reuben won!  If you missed it, the show airs throught October on the Travel Channel.

Izzy’s was honored to have Adam Richman and his Travel Channel crew from Man V Food Nation in town in August taping an episode featuring their 110 Reuben. Local competitor, Adam Turer, attempted a rematch. He had previously lost the challenge earlier in the summer. With Adam Richman’s help, he was confident he could win.

Man V Food Competitor, Adam Turer and Izzy’s President, John Geisen (along with crowds of customers, fans, and friends) watched the show together at the Main Street location, where filming was held on Aug.19, 2011.  If you watched, you know who won. If you didn't watch, you can catch airings of "Episode Cincinnati" throughout October on the Travel Channel.

Watch Izzy’s Facebook page for more details and behind-the-scenes stories and photos! Visit the Man V. Food Nation website for photos of Adam's visit to the Queen City.

Izzy's extends a special thanks to all our customers, fans, and staff who helped make Man v. Food at Izzy's happen!

  • “We love this place. So glad it came to Ft. Wright. My 2-yr. old loves the pickles and almost makes a meal on them alone. The reubens are great but you owe it to yourself to experiment. The Spicy Delight is awesome and worth a try. ”

    Sam B. ★★★★★

  • “Had some quests from Columbus area and Andrian, MI and wanted to take them to a "local" restaurant. My grandson and I decided Izzy's in Forest Park was the choice. They LOVED it. First the delicious pickles and then the famous Ruben and potato pancake. The waitress was great, very friendly and we enjoyed her conversation with our questions. They were very impressed with the food and her. I wish I knew her name but she was the only waitress there. Then even bought a jar of pickles to take home.”

  • “Izzy's is a great place. a staple of downtown Cincy. They are known for their Ruben. However I recommend the Izzy's Mex (spicier Ruben) or "The Suzzy" which is turkey and cranberry-orange relish with cream cheese... it's better than it sounds.”

  • “Best I've had in Cincinnati!”

    Martha C. ★★★★★

  • “Best tuna salad around.. which u might not expect.. and Luv their cabbage soup !! ”

    Katy Y ★★★★★

  • “Top of the list if you are visiting or live in Cincy. The reubens and potato pancakes are awesome! The turkey wraps are fantastic too. I’m hungry just talking about it…”

    Byron S. ★★★★★

  • “Izzys always has good sandwiches, particularly any Reuben variation because the sauerkraut is always crisp and tart. The pickles are the real star though, and we inhale as many as possible every time we visit. The potato pancakes are unique and definitely worth a try - particularly if you are expecting something like a hash brown patty or a soft doughy cake. ”
