Izzy's Partners with CHNK for National Child Abuse Prevention Month

In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky (CHNK) is partnering with Izzy’s Restaurant throughout the month of April to promote the importance of communities – and businesses within those communities – working together to prevent child abuse.

Through the end of the month, Izzy’s customers can purchase a blue paper ribbon for a $1 donation in support of Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky. Ribbons will be posted in each of Izzy’s nine restaurants for the duration of April, providing a visual cue that child abuse prevention is a community issue, and that every member of the community can be a part of raising awareness and sharing strategies for prevention.

Customers dining in at each Izzy’s restaurant will also notice table tents promoting CHNK’s behavioral health and substance use treatment programs for adolescents, as well as opportunities for joining the fight against child abuse. In addition to being able to purchase a blue ribbon in-store, customers can text 33923 to make a donation to CHNK straight from their smartphones.

  • “If you love good old fashioned corned beef (and a variety of things related to it) you can't go wrong with Izzy's. Awesome potato pancakes and their pickles are my favorite anywhere. They even have some really good vegetarian options.”

    Meta S. ★★★★★

  • “Great place! I love Rubens and they are the best Ive had. The kosher pickles and the potato cakes are wonderful. We buy the jar pickles when ever we can find them. When in Cincinnati, find an Izzys! ”

  • “Izzy's is a great place. a staple of downtown Cincy. They are known for their Ruben. However I recommend the Izzy's Mex (spicier Ruben) or "The Suzzy" which is turkey and cranberry-orange relish with cream cheese... it's better than it sounds.”

  • “I first started going to Izzys over 40 years ago. I remember Izzy working behind the counter across the street from WLWT. The food I had tonight was as good as when Izzy would hand me my sandwich in the 70s! ”

  • “We love this place. So glad it came to Ft. Wright. My 2-yr. old loves the pickles and almost makes a meal on them alone. The reubens are great but you owe it to yourself to experiment. The Spicy Delight is awesome and worth a try. ”

  • “I love Izzys!!! I go to the one on Mall Road in Florence. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious!! We love the kids eat free Saturdays as well. The only thing I dont like is that the broccoli cheese soup was taken off the menu. ”

  • “Had some quests from Columbus area and Andrian, MI and wanted to take them to a "local" restaurant. My grandson and I decided Izzy's in Forest Park was the choice. They LOVED it. First the delicious pickles and then the famous Ruben and potato pancake. The waitress was great, very friendly and we enjoyed her conversation with our questions. They were very impressed with the food and her. I wish I knew her name but she was the only waitress there. Then even bought a jar of pickles to take home.”

    Glyn H. ★★★★★

  • “Delicious toasted sandwiches and high-quality meats.  So tasty and hits the spot every time. ”
