The Marty Brennaman Special

The Marty Brennaman Special

Izzy’s is excited to honor long-time voice and Hall of Fame announcer of the Cincinnati Reds, Marty Brennaman on Opening Day Thursday, March 28 with a $5 Reuben Deal.

In honor of Brennaman and Opening Day, Izzy’s will roll back its pricing on reubens to the cost when Brennaman started calling games for the Reds in 1974, five dollars. The deal will be available at all eight Izzy’s locations.

“All of Cincinnati is going to miss hearing Marty’s voice calling Reds games after the 2019 season,” said Izzy’s President, John Geisen. “It’s only right that we honor the Cincinnati legend with this special deal.”

Five dollar reubens in honor of Marty Brennaman will only be available on Opening Day, Thursday, March 28, 2019.

  • “Izzy's is a great place. a staple of downtown Cincy. They are known for their Ruben. However I recommend the Izzy's Mex (spicier Ruben) or "The Suzzy" which is turkey and cranberry-orange relish with cream cheese... it's better than it sounds.”

  • “Slightly different take on a deli. A small place where customers and food are shown lots of care. I had corned beef w eggs on top; all sandwiches come with large potato cake. Our staff was in town for a convention and ate there often. We were never disappointed.”

    Colette F. ★★★★★

  • “If you’re a fan of deli sandwiches, this is the place!”

    Kevin M ★★★★★

  • “Izzys always has good sandwiches, particularly any Reuben variation because the sauerkraut is always crisp and tart. The pickles are the real star though, and we inhale as many as possible every time we visit. The potato pancakes are unique and definitely worth a try - particularly if you are expecting something like a hash brown patty or a soft doughy cake. ”
