Covington Closes, Assessing New NKY Location

Covington Closes, Assessing New NKY Location

Izzy's appreciates all of the support the Greater Cincinnati area has shown in their over 110 years of business.

Izzy's currently owns two Northern Kentucky stores: Madison Avenue in Covington and the convenient location on Mall Road in Florence.

Over the past few years, many Northern Kentucky guests have requested a more convenient location with plenty of parking, and centrally located in the area. The lease for the Covington store ends this month and Izzy's has decided to close the Covington location on Friday, March 9th. They are in the process of assessing locations in Northern Kentucky and hope to announce a new  location later this year.

"We appreciate the support our guests have shown to us in Covington ," stated John Geisen , President of Izzy's. "We are excited at the prospect of finding a new location, with ample parking for our guests. We also plan to feature a drive-thru window, which is a huge plus for our guests at our Red Bank location.  Guests are welcome to visit our other 8 locations, centrally located throughout the city."

Izzy's would like to thank our regular Covington customers for their support over the years and looks forward to welcoming them to a new location or any of Izzy's 8 other locations

  • “Top of the list if you are visiting or live in Cincy. The reubens and potato pancakes are awesome! The turkey wraps are fantastic too. I’m hungry just talking about it…”

  • “Has the best reuben of my life (thus far)!!  Nothing fancy about this joint - very laid back and casual.  Staff was friendly and I could tell that they have a lot of regulars that come in for lunch.  I ordered a reuben and fell in LOVE!  Not greasy, not soggy, lots of awesome corned beef and sauerkraut, and the bread was super fresh. Izzys is on our list of places to eat when we are in Cincy.   Top 3 for sure! ”

  • “Love Izzy's Reuben's and Potato Cakes. This is the closest to my house. I live in Goshen but it's worth the drive. Had to make a special trip there for St. Paddy's Day. Great customer service. And great food. They have the best Potato Cakes in town.”

  • “We love this place. So glad it came to Ft. Wright. My 2-yr. old loves the pickles and almost makes a meal on them alone. The reubens are great but you owe it to yourself to experiment. The Spicy Delight is awesome and worth a try. ”
