On Thursday, (DATE TBA), at 7pm, Izzy’s will host a beer dinner at its Ft. Wright location (1965 Highland Ave.) featuring a selection of beers from Widmer Brothers Brewery. Attendees will enjoy a three-course meal comprised of an appetizer, entree and dessert, paired with three unique top craft beers –Hefeweizen, Hefe Shandy and Hopside Down IPL. Cost to attend is $25 per person and includes a complimentary beer glass.
Featured Widmer Brothers Craft Beers:
  • Hefeweizen (4.9%abv) The naturally cloudy flagship brew starts with he highest quality wheat.  It’s bold, clean flavor and pronounced citrus and floral aromas are what define America-Style Hefeweizen.  So pour yourself a cool, cloudy glass, finish with a lemon and enjoy the originals.
  • Hefe Shandy (4.2%abv) The original American Hefeweizen gets a bold, new, citrusy aroma and flavor from an infusion of lemon drop hops and natural lemonade.
  • Hopside Down IPL (6.7%abv) They’re turning things deliciously upside down with an aggressively hopped cold-fermented brew that brings together the clean crisp finish of a lager with the hoppy aroma and character of an IPA.  Prost! to turning convention on its head.
Food Pairing:
  •  Appetizer: NEW Crostini Sampler
  •  Dinner: NEW Pesto Turkey BST
  •  Dessert:  NEW Brownie Sundae

  • “2nd time to dine at Izzys.  THIS PLACE IS OFF THE CHAIN!  The "Famous Reuben" is amazing!  This place is a MUST STOP when in the Florence area. The service was good and my beverage stayed full - even brought a to go cup without asking. ”

    Philip S. ★★★★★

  • “Izzy's is a great place. a staple of downtown Cincy. They are known for their Ruben. However I recommend the Izzy's Mex (spicier Ruben) or "The Suzzy" which is turkey and cranberry-orange relish with cream cheese... it's better than it sounds.”

    Chris W. ★★★★

  • “The best, please move to California, soooo delicious ”

  • “Awesome server! Beef and barley soup was great even by itself. Ruben and potato cakes were nice going with it. Also enjoyed the carrot cake. Recommended to anyone passing through the Cincinnati area! ”

  • “Great little downtown spot for family...Very friendly staff and good food!”

    Sharon Z. ★★★★★

  • “Love Izzy's Reuben's and Potato Cakes. This is the closest to my house. I live in Goshen but it's worth the drive. Had to make a special trip there for St. Paddy's Day. Great customer service. And great food. They have the best Potato Cakes in town.”

    Adrienne J. ★★★★★

  • “We love Izzys. Took 6 jars if the pickles to Florida last winter because our God Daughter was expecting and craved pickles. She loved them. ”

    Georgia L. ★★★★★

  • “Longtime fans "love" this landmark Cincinnati deli with locations throughout the city serving "hearty", "overstuffed" sandwiches (particularly the "terrific" Reuben) along with "famous" pickles and "second-to-none" potato pancakes; although the decor reminds some of a grade-school lunchroom, it's affordable and the staff is "a hoot."

  • “Slightly different take on a deli. A small place where customers and food are shown lots of care. I had corned beef w eggs on top; all sandwiches come with large potato cake. Our staff was in town for a convention and ate there often. We were never disappointed.”

    Colette F. ★★★★★

  • “Absolutely fantastic pastrami Reuben on a pretzel bun!  Chicken noodle soup was fresh with Bowie pasta.  The potato pancakes were crispy pillows of heavenly goodness.  Oh, and the pickles were amazing and I dont usually like pickles!  I sure wish we had one in Toronto!! ”
