Izzys always has good sandwiches, particularly any Reuben variation because the sauerkraut is always crisp and tart. The pickles are the real star though, and we inhale as many as possible every time we visit. The potato pancakes are unique and definitely worth a try – particularly if you are expecting something like a hash brown patty or a soft doughy cake.

Good, quick service and delicious food. Sort of a New York deli menu with a diner feel. Famous for Reubens. Their potato pancakes are the real winner though, don’t miss them! Their soups are always good too.

Had some quests from Columbus area and Andrian, MI and wanted to take them to a “local” restaurant. My grandson and I decided Izzy’s in Forest Park was the choice. They LOVED it. First the delicious pickles and then the famous Ruben and potato pancake. Then even bought a jar of pickles to take home!
