We are excited to honor Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow with his own sandwich, The Bengal King.
The sandwich is an overstuffed reuben served on grilled marble rye with a potato pancake and pickles for $11.99. Izzy’s famous corned beef, fresh sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing and melted imported Swiss cheese are combined and served on ‘striped’ marble rye and comes with Izzy’s famous potato pancake
“Joe finished his collegiate career as a Bayou Bengal and is ready to start his professional career as a Cincinnati Bengal,” says our President, John Geisen. “Izzy’s and the City of Cincinnati are excited to welcome Joe and what better way to do so than by having one of Cincinnati’s longest standing restaurants giving him his own sandwich.”
Izzy’s doesn’t just serve their World Famous Reubens at all of our Convenient Locations, now you can make them at home!
Next time you’re at your favorite Kroger look for our Izzy’s Famous Jewish Rye, Izzy’s Famous Honey White, and Izzy’s Pickles in the refrigerated section at Kroger’s.

We love you Cincinnati!
The Simpsons have an Izzy’s — a restaurant and deli in the fictional town of Springfield’s Lower East Side. They have several sandwiches named after celebrities, including one named after Krusty the Clown.
This is based on the real Izzy’s Deli in Cincinnati, Ohio, famous for the complimentary pickles Bart references. You can see Izzy Kadetz (the real owner) behind the counter, and his wife Rose is the waitress. They were famous for arguing with each other and being snarky with customers as mentioned by Rose when she responds to Bart sarcastically, “Watch how fast I go” as she mosies away from their table. Their menu is emblazoned with the actual old-style logo from the restaurant.

Slightly different take on a deli. A small place where customers and food are shown lots of care. I had corned beef w eggs on top; all sandwiches come with large potato cake. Our staff was in town for a convention and ate there often. We were never disappointed.
